BTT Canada fighter Nelson Akawui Riquelme wins at UGC event

After going through a difficult couple months of cancelled fights, Nelson Akawui finally got to step in the ring and show what he's made of. Fighting an experienced fighter in Fred Poirier, Nelson was able to use some solid ground and stand-up skills to get through the first round, which finished pretty even. In the second round, Nelson turned on the Muay Thai with a series of kicks, knees, clinch work and elbows which proved to be too much for his opponent. He ended the fight with a devastating head kick, which brought on a referee stoppage.
