Patrick Cote to fight Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight Title!!!

October 21, 2008- In just a few days from now, our very own Patrick Cote will face Anderson Silva for the UFC Middleweight Championship Belt. Regarded as the best fighter in the world, Anderson Silva is obviously Patrick’s greatest challenge of his fighting career. Is he up for the challenge? Absolutely!!!

On paper, Siva outmatches Cote in many aspects. A more stylish stand-up game, a BJJ Black belt, fights against bigger names. All these factors are absolutely true. But sometimes there’s more to a fight than what’s on paper. Patrick Cote is one tough dude. Not just his iron chin, but his determination, his lack of fear, and the incredible amount of training that went in to his fight preparation. Having seen him prepare for this fight over the last few months, this is not the same fighter. He is faster, stronger and a whole lot trickier.

As a huge Anderson Silva fan, I would probably be joining the bandwagon in dismissing Cote’s chances. But knowing Cote and where he’s coming from, I can’t wait to watch him shock the world and bring the belt home!!!
